Frequently asked questions

Which platforms are supported?

Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Threads and LinkedIn. Paste any public post or profile link and DownloadKit detects the platform automatically.

Is DownloadKit free?

Yes — free, unlimited and without watermarks or sign-up.

How do I save videos to the iPhone Photos app?

Download the file in Safari, open the Files app → Downloads, tap the video, then Share → Save Video.

Why can't I download a post?

It may be private, deleted, age-restricted or region-locked, or the platform may be temporarily limiting requests. Try again after a minute.

Do you store my downloads?

No. Media isn't stored on our servers, and your history lives only in your own browser.

Is downloading legal?

Saving public content for personal offline viewing is generally tolerated, but copyright still applies. Don't redistribute or monetise content you don't own, and follow each platform's terms.
