About DownloadKit

DownloadKit is a free, browser-based downloader for public videos, audio, photos, GIFs and stories from Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Threads and LinkedIn. It needs no app or login and stores no user files.

How it works

1. You paste a link to a public post.
2. Our server reads the public page or public API for that post — the same data any visitor's browser receives — and lists the media files it references.
3. You choose a file. It downloads directly to your device. When a platform splits video and audio (YouTube HD, Reddit), they are merged in your browser with WebAssembly, so the processing never touches our servers.

Principles

• Public content only. We never ask for your password and never access private accounts.
• No storage. We don't keep copies of media or a log of what you download. Your history stays in your browser.
• No watermarks, no paywalls.
• Respect for creators. Download for personal use, credit creators, and don't re-upload work you don't own.

Supported platforms

Instagram (Reels, videos, photos, carousels, profile pictures), YouTube (videos, Shorts, MP3, thumbnails), TikTok (no-watermark video, MP3, slideshows), Facebook (videos, Reels), X/Twitter (videos, GIFs, images), Pinterest (videos, images, GIFs), Reddit (videos with sound, GIFs, galleries), Snapchat (Spotlight, public stories), Threads (videos, photos) and LinkedIn (videos, images).
